March Bi-Annual Meeting
Thursday, March 7, 2019
Along with having our annual election of Board members, we are happy to announce that our Guest Speaker for this meeting will be Alana Jolley who will give a talk about the Portola Expedition. This year is its 250th anniversary, and Alana is very close to the topic as her 7 times great uncles were part of that ride!
Alana is currently a professor of anthropology at Saddleback College and has written and published a number of ethnographies as well as two children’s anthropology books. Please join us at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center at 7 pm.
General meetings are held in March and November and are open to all guests and members. Special guest speakers entertain audiences as they share stories of historic interest relating to the area. An update on the Society’s activities and accomplishments is presented, and the annual election of Board members is part of the March meeting.

Ghost Tours start at the O’Neill Museum on Los Rios Street and will be conducted each night at 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30 pm.
